These terms are the agreement between you and Coffee Chat when you use the app. They're written to be read, not skimmed past — the short version: use the app in good faith, your data stays yours, and the service is provided as-is.
By creating an account or using Coffee Chat, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Coffee Chat is a personal networking tracker: you log the people you meet, your conversations, and follow-up reminders. The service is under active development — features may change and improve over time. Coffee Chat is currently free; if we ever introduce paid features, we'll say so clearly before you're charged anything.
The Coffee Chat name, design, and software belong to us. These terms give you the right to use the app — not any ownership of it.
The contacts, notes, and reminders you create are yours. You give us permission to store and process them solely to provide the service to you — see the Privacy Policy for exactly how that data is handled. You can delete your account and all of its data anytime from your account page.
We aim to keep Coffee Chat running smoothly, but the service is provided without uptime guarantees. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features (or the service) as it evolves; if we ever discontinue the service entirely, we'll make reasonable efforts to give you a chance to export your data first.
You can stop using Coffee Chat anytime, and can delete your account and data from your account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
Coffee Chat is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coffee Chat and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently: zero — the service is free). If your use of the service violates these terms or the law and that causes a claim against us, you're responsible for the resulting costs.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
We may update these terms as the product grows. If a change is significant, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Coffee Chat after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Coffee Chat about the service. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies, and if we don't enforce a provision right away we're not giving up the right to later. Your account and this agreement are yours — they can't be transferred to someone else.
